MAIN GOALS: At the end of the seminar, the participants will:
- have a general notion about their destination country’s geography, history, traditions, values and current issues
- learn and understand their destination country’s cultural elements and origins
- identify the main differences and potential problems that they will face when interacting with individuals of their destination contry in the working and everyday life environment. Areas to be covered include communication, views and application of hierarchy, time management, focus of motivation and the handling of change
- learn practical techniques to overcome such differences
- get personalized information on their intercultural skills and strategies to develop them further, through a self assessment profile tool
- understand the adaptation process known as Culture Shock and effective adaptation strategies
- have a better knowledge about their specific destination city and region
