Liliana Cantú

General Manager at IC Mexico


Liliana is the founder and General Manager at IC Mexico. She is a native Mexican and has a BS degree in Marketing and a Masters Degree in International. She also holds the Intercultural Foundations Certificate awarded by the Intercultural Communication Institute, and is an Expert Panelist for the Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks publication, sponsored by the Diversity Collegium.

Liliana has professional experience in the fields of human resources, public relations and relocation services, as well as in the design, translation and cultural customization, as well as delivery of training courses, live and virtually. Her main expertise is in the fields of intercultural communication, global leadership and diversity and inclusion.

Liliana has participated as a speaker and planning committee member at international symposia, and has served in different global councils. She is a freelance facilitator for many global training companies such as Brookfield, RW3, Graybridge Malkam, Aperian Global, Berlitz, EDS, IOR, QED Consulting, Language & Culture, Impact Global and Hansa One. She has delivered training programs, in English and Spanish, in over a dozen different countries, in organizations such as Novartis, Daimler, KPMGCaterpillar, HP, Chrysler, DELL, PepsiCo, Toyota, Delphi, Starwood, Lego, P&G, Bayer, Ford, Whirlpool, John Deere, Unilever, Coca Cola, Nissan, Medtronic, and the United Nations.

Liliana has also performed as a part time university professor at one of the most prestigious institutions in Latin America: the ITESM (commonly known as Monterrey Tech), where she has taught intercultural communication courses to national and international students, in Spanish and English.

As a freelance bilingual facilitator, Liliana has had the opportunity to train on topics such as corporate compliance, mediation and conflict resolution, leadership development and global ethics, besides intercultural competence and diversity and inclusion.

Liliana is also an avid mountain biker and a certified indoor cycling instructor. She currently resides in Monterrey, Mexico, is married and has two children.


Maria Elena Cantú

Expert on intercultural youth training


Maria Elena is a native Mexican and active member of the IC Mexico team since 1999. She’s our expert on intercultural youth training, as well as on the topics of international parenting and Mexico’s international schools. She has experience designing and delivering courses and seminars in different areas, including human development, quality and educational skills.

She has a BS degree in International Relations and is fluent in Spanish, English and French. Her intercultural experience includes living and interacting with the cultures of Canada, USA and France.

Her professional experience includes positions in educational institutions such as Colegio Inglés of Monterrey (English School of Monterrey) as a 2nd grade teacher, and the Alliance Francaise Monterrey as manager of the cultural/artistic activities department.  Maria Elena also worked for 4 years as cultural manager for the “Monterrey Joven” program, at the Monterrey City Hall, which aimed to offer Monterrey’s youth a variety of activities and developing opportunities.

As IC Mexico’s representative of our Global Hospitality Services at Mexico City, Juliana has over 20 years of experience in relocation services.

She has assisted employees from companies such as Danone-Bonafont, Yves Rocher and Motorola throughout their relocation process into Mexico’s capital, and has supported cross-cultural trainings with local knowledge.
